National Bank Independece

Not much independence in Ukraine, were some board members are Yuchenko supporters, other Tymochenko supporters


This lack of indepence is costly in terms of inflation, possibly economic growth


Maybe it's time for the NBU to follow the example of some other countries and to appoint some good academics to the board? (http://tomcoupe.blogspot.com/2009/08/economists-as_9123.html)
